The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
